Bubbley Waffely

The challenge consisted in creating web site for a food truck selling bubble waffles using a Content Management System, WordPress.
<Content Management System> also known as CMS, is a software application that enables users to create, edit, collaborate on, publish and store digital content.

Design

The web site consisted in different pages:

Home Page > An introduction page containing the internal pages' previews. The sections will be linked with the respective pages.

Menu > A page showcasing the all-time bubble waffles that the customers can find in every truck.

About us > A page that tells the story of the bubble waffle franchise from its beginning to how it is today. A timeline view was requested for an easier understanding.

Contact Us > A dedicated page that helps users to get in touch with the company.

Extra > One of the specific, other than the pages above, was to insert the delivery services in a dedicated section.

Design

The layout was created following the grid system provided by Bootstrap. The layout was created considering the mobile-first approach.

Development

The tech & tools used for this project:

WordPress > A free and open-source CMS written in PHP and paired with a MySQL or MariaDB database.

Elementor > A website builder allows WordPress users to create and edit websites by the drag and drop technique, with a built-in responsive mode.

HTML > The standard markup language for documents designed to be displayed in a web browser.

CSS > A style sheet language used for describing the presentation of a document written in a markup language such as HTML.

JavaScript > A programming language that is one of the core technologies of the World Wide Web.

Bubble Waffle > A spherical egg-based waffle popular in Hong Kong, consisting of an eggy leavened batter cooked between two plates of semi-spherical cells.
